Welcome to Year 4 

This term, our topic is 'Anglo-Saxons'

The topic is self explanatory but we will try to cover as many aspects of Roman life as time will allow. We will be completing a wide range of activities from cooking Anglo-Saxon food to making miniature Saxon shields. 

In class, we are reading and studying Varjak Paw. I expect many of the children to fall in love with the story. It is an excellent read so be ready for children wanting to carry on the series at home. 

Welcome to year 4. We like to make sure we are enjoying ourselves whilst learning but ensure we work hard at the same time. We are always kind and gentle and GO FOR GOLD!

In science, we are learning about our body and the digestive system. With a term highlight being our trip to Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds.

In PE this term we will be taking part in a wide variety of sports and activities including football, dance and volleyball. We hope that the children can try lots of new and fun activities to find the sport they love this year.
